Event Promotions is undeniably one of the leaders in the New Zealand event management industry. Operating since 1989 each year Event Promotions runs 10 of the largest and more iconic events in the country, attracting around 45,000 participants annually.
With a focus on running, walking, road cycling and mountain biking, Event Promotions deliver a stable of events across the North Island. Event Promotions boast a competitor database of 110,000 plus competitors, enabling sponsors to connect with an active, out-going, kiwi market through a medium that they have actively chosen to be involved with.
Murray Fleming
Murray set up Event Promotions in 1989 when Event Management was in its infancy. Running and sport has been his passion in life with his highlight representing New Zealand twice in the Marathon, in Macau and Burmingham with a personal best time of 2hours 18minutes. He has also run under 65 minutes for a half marathon and sub 29.30minutes for 10k. As a recreation cyclist, Murray brings years of experience to the company with an understanding of what is expected from both his recreational and competitive participants.
Murray’s goal at any event operated by Event Promotions is “ that competitors have a great experience and not just another event”. That is why he has such a strong passion for managing the stable of events that Event Promotions host annually.
