Are you tough enough to take on the Family Tough Guy and Gal Challenge?
This is is the ultimate obstacle course race designed to bring families together for a day of fun, fitness, and adventure. This exciting event is perfect for parents, caregivers, and kids to bond while tackling challenges that will test their endurance, strength, and teamwork over the approximately 3km course.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:

The Ngaruawahia Christian Youth Camp offers a stunning venue nestled between the Waipa River and the Hakarimata Scenic Reserve. The camp is set amongst 38 hectares of native bush and pastures, ready and waiting for tough guys and gals to take on the challenge. The facilities include hot showers, toilets, changing rooms and free parking.

This event is based at the Massey University Recreation Centre with a fantastic course for the Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge. The facilities include hot showers, toilets, changing rooms and free parking.

Only 20 km out of the Auckland CBD, the Kumeu Showgrounds is a blank canvas of 80 acres. The facilities include hot showers, toilets, changing rooms and free parking. We will have designated car, van and bus parking areas available.

This is the original home of the Tough Guy & Gal Challenge. This venue provides a magnificent course with spectacular scenery for the ultimate experience. The facilities include hot showers, toilets, changing rooms and free parking, plus backpacker style accommodation available.

TEAM AGE LIMITS (2 or 3 person team)
All Family Teams are a combination of the following:
2 person team – 1x adult/parent 18 years or older PLUS 1x child aged 7-14 years
3 person team – 1x or 2x adult/parent 18 years or older PLUS 1x or 2x children aged 7-14 years
(There is a maximum 1:2 ratio of over 18/under 18 required to enter this event. We cannot add any more children to a team).
PLEASE NOTE: We have kept the team options as simple as possible while controlling the number of adults versus children on the course for safety reasons. Families are complex and not “one size fits all” so hopefully you can accommodate your family within these 2 options.
