So you’re tough, but are you tough enough to take on the Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge?

This is a chance for primary and intermediate aged kids to get involved in New Zealand’s biggest mud run series in a version tailored especially for them! The Junior Tough Guys and Gals will take on a 1.5km or 3km muddy obstacle course consisting of swamp crossings, a spider’s web net climb, crawl under obstacles, beautiful native bush trails, tunnels, hurdles, a climbing frame, water crossings and not to mention, mud mud and more mud!

All competitors will receive a special finishers medal for taking part!

This venue provides a magnificent course with spectacular scenery for the ultimate experience. The course starts in the grass car park and heads out into the farm land behind the stadium. The facilities include hot showers, toilets, changing rooms and free parking.

Camp Wainui provides a unique opportunity within a NZ Native bush environment. Run through water trails, crawl under barbwire obstacles, clamber through tunnels, wade through swamp crossings and pull yourself up hill climbs. The camp is set amongst 38 hectares of native bush and pastures, ready and waiting for tough guys and gals to take on the challenge. The original Clifton Station of 13,500 acres were purchased in 1859. It stretched from Clifton to Cape Kidnappers and right down to Ocean Beach. Just 20 minutes from Napier and Hastings. Clifton Station is adjacent to the multi million-dollar Cape Kidnappers golf course and is one of the most spectacular locations in the world. Home of the traditional V8 Supercars Series in NZ, host of annual agricultural and horticultural activities in the district and situated only 5 minutes from the local town centre. With access being ample and space not a problem at this venue, the large acres of fields offer the great opportunity for an epic Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge Course. PERSONALISED RACE NUMBER
If you would like your child’s name printed on their race bib, please make sure they are entered two weeks prior to the event date.

How to Enter

HOW TO ENTER

Children can either enter through their school, where the teacher deals with the entry process or you can enter your child online yourself, please check if your school is entering a group before entering your child online (otherwise they may end up entered twice!)

OPTION 1 – SCHOOL ENTRY OPTIONS
Once you know the total number of competitors please email info@eventpromotions.co.nz and advise your School Name, which venue/date you will be attending and your confirmed number of competitors. You will then receive an Excel Spreadsheet with a bulk waiver for you to fill in with all of your student’s details. Once this excel spreadsheet has been received your students will be entered into the event.

PLEASE NOTE: All of the fields on the spreadsheet template must be filled in for each student, otherwise it will be sent back to you for correction. Google Docs or other online format templates will NOT be accepted.

Payment and Entry Policy for School Groups
Entry numbers are limited! We will be working on a first in first serve basis. Entries will ONLY be confirmed once we have received your completed school group spreadsheet with signed waiver and completed entrant fields. No entries can be confirmed, nor can places be reserved until we have ALL of this information. To avoid the disappointment of missing out please make sure you get your entries in at least three weeks before the event date. All School group invoices will be sent to schools AFTER each event to allow for corrections of change in entrant numbers or additional administrative costs.

OPTION 2 – INDIVIDUAL ENTRY
Parents/caregivers can enter and pay for their children online. There is a question section where they must put in their school name and tick a box to say if the Teacher or Parent will be picking up the race number on the day of the event. As long as they correctly enter the school name and tick the box to say the Teacher will collect the race number then we are able to have everything waiting for you to pick up from registration on the morning of the event.

Refunds and Transfers

Withdrawal and Refund Policy
ALL withdrawals MUST be notified to info@eventpromotions.co.nz by 9am, 7 days prior to the event date. These withdrawals will receive their entry fee refund, minus a $10.00 administrative/booking fee per competitor.

Any withdrawals notified after this time will NOT be entitled to a refund, no exceptions.

In the case of a natural disaster, extreme or dangerous weather situation, “Act of God” conditions, or other uncontrollable factors causing the cancellation of the event, entry fees will not be refunded.

Transfer Policy
All person to person transfers between the same entry type (event distance) MUST be made by 9:00am, 14 days prior to the event, no exceptions. After this date they must be made at the event day registrations and MUST be made between the same entry type (event distance).

Transferring to a different entry type (event distance) can be done up to 14 days prior to the event. After this, they must be done at the event day registration.

You cannot transfer an entry to another event, or following year under any circumstances.

Merit Prizes
No merit prizes will be awarded at these events.

Spot Prizes
Awesome spot prizes will be randomly drawn at prize-giving. You must be present at prize-giving to collect your spot prize.

Brightest School Award
We will be awarding a certificate and minor spot prize to the ‘Brightest School’ during prize-giving at the end of each event day. Dress up in your brightest or most creative dress ups for the Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge with your school group and you could win!

Age Limit
The Junior is for primary and intermediate schools school years 3 to 8.

Limited numbers
Each event has limited places available, so make sure you enter early to avoid disappointment as these events sell out! We will advise on the website when an event sells out.

What to wear
It is compulsory to wear covered in shoes during the event. You will get wet and muddy. A dry set of clothing, beanie and jacket is highly recommended following your event. Football or Rugby boots with moulded studs are acceptable, running spikes or boots with aluminium studs are not permitted.

Personalised Bib Numbers
If you enter at least three weeks before your event you will receive your very own personalised bib number.

Shower and Parking
Hot showers, parking and first aid support are included in your entry fee.

Food and Drinks
Hot food and beverages will be available from the venue for purchase – please bring cash as most places will not have reliable eftpos facilities.
