Adults can now join the kids in a fun whanau team event like no other. Are you tough enough to take on the Family Tough Guy and Gal Challenge in Wellington?
New Zealand’s original mud run series, the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge, is the ultimate obstacle course race designed for thrill-seekers and adventure lovers. This action-packed event tests participants’ endurance, strength, and determination while offering a fun and exhilarating experience.
The Hobbs Global Family Tough Guy and Gal Challenge is more than just a race – it’s an adventure that strengthens family ties while embracing the great outdoors. So grab the kids, rally the adults, and take on the mud, climbs, and crawls together! All competitors will receive a special finishers medal for taking part!
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE DISTANCE – It is an APPROXIMATELY 3km course, but due to the nature of our different venues terrain and challenges, we equate the TIME TAKEN of the fastest person to be “equivalent” to a flat 3km cross country course. Therefore, some venues are shorter in distance, but equivalent in time.
Challenging Obstacles
A mix of family-friendly obstacles and classic challenges, including mud pits, climbing walls, and crawling tunnels, ensuring fun for kids and adults.

Every venue is different with rugged terrains, farmland and/or natural bushland, adding an exciting twist to the challenge.
