2019 Event Video

Craters 100km, 50km, 25km and Kids 12.5km

These events consist of riding two or more laps of a 12.5km single track course designed for this event. Ride 25km, 50km or 100km on stunning single tracks built by Bike Taupo at Craters Mountain Bike Park, Wairakei Forest, Taupo.

Riders compete the 12.5km single track circuit and on completion of each lap, riders may enter a feeding station at the start/finish zone which will include biscuits, sweets, bananas, sports bars, sports drink and water to refuel!

Craters 100km solo riders will complete eight laps starting at 9.00am along with the Craters 100km team riders, teams are made up of four riders each completing two 12.5km laps. Craters 50km riders will complete four laps starting at noon with Craters 25km riders completing two laps starting at 2.00pm. All competitors will receive a stunning finisher’s medal. Prize giving will be held at 5.00pm from the start/finish zone.

Craters Kids 12.5km – kids aged 8 to 13 years can enter the kids 12.5K event. They will receive a finishers medal after completing their event. A great way to involve the whole family.

Limited Numbers
Due to the forest concession the event has limited numbers so enter early to avoid disappointment.

Course Information

The Hub cafe car park, 415 Huka Falls Road

Event Venue
The Hub for event headquarters and Craters Mountain Bike Park.

Course
The course uses a mixture of grade 2 and 3 mountain bike trails on stunning single track trails. The course has a bit of everything, with nice flowing sections, some techie sections to keep it interesting all whilst catering to an all-round riding ability. The course is 12.5km in distance (however this does vary per each person’s personal measuring device).

How to Enter

Enter online using a credit or debt card.

– Post it in to PO Box 324, Rotorua with a cheque made out to ‘Event Promotions’ or
– Post it in to PO Box 324, Rotorua with proof of bank deposit payment. Please pay bank deposit into ASB Taupo 12-3162-0075818-61 using your name as reference.

On the Day Entries
These will be available from registration at the Hub car park on Saturday morning between 7.00am – 2.30pm.

Entry Confirmation
Every entrant will receive a confirmation email with their bib number on it, please print this out and bring along to registration on Saturday morning.

Refunds/Transfers

Refund Policy

Refunds up until the 23rd of March will incur a $10.00 administration fee. There will be no refunds from the 23rd of March 2019. In the case of a natural disaster, closure of the forest due to high winds or other uncontrollable factors, “Act of God” conditions causing the cancellation of the event, entry fees will not be refunded. Please contact 07 3483301 or jenna@eventpromotions.co.nz if you need to withdraw from the event.

Transfers/Changes

Transfers to another person or to a different distance can be made up until the 25th of March. Please contact 07 3483301 or jenna@eventpromotions.co.nz prior to this date. After this date, any changes will need to be made at registration on the day.
