These events consist of riding one or more laps of a 25km single track and forestry raods course designed for this event. Ride 25km, 50km or 100km on stunning single tracks in the amazing Whakawerawera Forest starting and finishing at the Tikitapu Lake (Blue Lake).

Riders complete the 25km single track circuit and on completion of each lap, riders may enter a feeding station at the start/finish zone which will include biscuits, sweets, bananas, sports bars, sports drink and water to refuel!

Craters 100km solo riders will complete four laps starting at 9.00am along with the Craters 100km team riders, teams are made up two to four riders each completing one or two 25km laps. Craters 50km riders will complete two laps starting at noon with Craters 25km riders completing one lap starting at 2.00pm. All competitors will receive a stunning finisher’s medal. Prize giving will be held at 5.00pm from the start/finish zone.

Venue
Due to the feedback from competitors and course limitations we have made the decision to shift the event to Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake), Rotorua. This also celebrates the fact that our naming rights sponsors BFA have opened up a new office on Whakaue Street in Rotorua.

We have made a change to course in that it is now a 25km loop. This is a combination of single trails and forest roads suited to all riders – all grade 2 and 3 trails.
